Additional Implementation Resources

Louisiana Year in Detail

The Louisiana Department of Education created a scope and sequence that others may find useful as an example directory when beginning the implementation process.  It has been attached here as a resource tool for guiding the discussion for creating tools and resources while a district, school and classroom work through that process.

EQuIP

EQuIP (Educators Evaluating the Quality of Instructional Products)is an initiative of the American Diploma Project (ADP) Network designed to identify high-quality materials aligned to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). EQuIP builds on a collaborative effort of education leaders from Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island that Achieve facilitated. The outcome of that effort was the development of the “Tri-State Rubrics” and a quality review process designed to determine the quality and alignment of instructional lessons and units to the CCSS. Find tools and resources that Illinois is utilizing in the effort to align multi-day lesson plans and units to the New Illinois Learning Standards Incorporating the Common Core.

Implementation Guides

This tool is meant to gauge the level of implementation of classroom instruction against the English Language Arts Common Core State Standards shifts in teaching practices and rigor.  It is suggested to remain as a pulse check or barometer of sorts for collaborative discussion or self-reflection.
