What is T21Con?

T21Con is an amazing conference for all teacher education majors, faculty,and practicing teachers as well as anyone who has an interested in learning how to use technology in schools.

When and Where is T21Con?

T21Con is Tuesday, 11/05/2013, and runs from 9a-5p in the Bone Student Center. We start sessions at the beginning of each hour. Registrants do not need to stay all day but can come and go as their schedule allows.

Is there a cost?

NO – T21Con is absolutely free!

What will I get out of T21Con?

You will have the opportunity to learn from teachers who are pioneering ways to use technology in schools with students. There are a number of opportunities to get hands-on experience using the technologies. Then, there is the opportunity to win a number of door prizes including an iPad and an Xbox.

About the conference

Organized by the College of Education and sponsored by SUITE (Students Using and Integrating Technology in Education), this event is sponsored by a generous gift from Mary F. and Robert J. English. Mary F. English earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Illinois State in 1968. Dr. Robert English earned a Bachelor of Science in Business in 1966 and an MBA in 1967. Dr. English served for many years as a member of the Illinois Board of Higher Education and is a leader in the study of technology and its impact on education at all levels. The English family's endowed fund at Illinois State has allowed the Office of Enrollment Management and Academic Services to purchase computers for students with financial need since 2001. The Mary F. Technology Award Program is administered by the University College Julia N. Visor Academic Center.
