Dr. Williams holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum Design from the University of Illinois. Formerly, a Bilingual Lead Teacher for the Chicago Public Schools, she teaches in ISU’s Bilingual Education Program.
Dr. Williams' interest is in preparing teacher candidates and in-service teachers to provide equity in education for linguistically and culturally diverse learners who have traditionally been marginalized in schools and society.
Dr. Williams' research interests include studies that pertain to the education of culturally and linguistically diverse students and research that focuses on ISU's Bilingual Education Program and the preparation and dispositions of its teacher candidates.
