Cohorts

The department offers an online cohort option, enabling students the opportunity to take classes with others who have a prescribed plan of study, over the course of the program. The admissions requirements are the same for both the traditional and cohort options within each concentration.

About the Online Cohort Model

• Class schedule: Each semester, two classes are delivered on Wednesdays (4-10 p.m.).
• Superintendent Endorsement courses are built into the doctoral program.
• Eligibility: P-12 professionals with principal licensure and two years leadership in school buildings, districts, or support organizations (ROEs, ISBE, Service Centers, etc.).
