Tutoring at the Borg Center for Reading and Literacy is designed to support learners in Grades 1-8 who experience difficulty with reading, spelling, and/or writing. Our tutors are trained to conduct assessments and design individualized instruction for each tutoring session. We provide direct instruction on literacy skills and strategies with time in each session to apply skills in authentic reading and writing contexts using materials connected to relevant grade level curriculum.
Our fall program will run for ten weeks beginning on September 11, 2023, and ending on November 16, 2023. Tutors will meet with students once or twice weekly Monday through Thursday.
The cost to participate in the Fall tutoring program is $250.00 for once per week sessions or $500.00 for twice per week sessions. After the program ends, you will receive a report that summarizes your child’s participation in the program.
If you have questions about our tutoring program, please contact Dr. Deborah MacPhee at (309) 438-3836.
