Tutoring at the Borg Center for Reading and Literacy is designed to support learners in Grades 1-8 who experience difficulty with reading, spelling, and/or writing. Our tutors are trained to conduct assessments and design individualized instruction for each tutoring session. We provide direct instruction on literacy skills and strategies with time in each session to apply skills in authentic reading and writing contexts using materials connected to relevant grade level curriculum.
Our Spring program will run for 10 weeks beginning on January 29, 2024, and ending on April 18, 2024 (with a break the week of March 11-14 due to ISU Spring break). Tutors will meet with students once or twice weekly for a total of 10 or 20 sessions, respectively. You can indicate on the registration form which days/times work best for your family.
The cost to participate in the Spring tutoring program is $250.00 for once per week sessions or $500.00 for twice per week sessions. After the program ends, you will receive a report that summarizes your child’s participation in the program.
