Tutoring at the Borg Center for Reading and Literacy is designed to support learners who experience difficulty with reading and/or writing. Our tutors conduct assessments and design individualized instructional plans for each tutoring session. We provide direct instruction on literacy skills with plenty of time in each session to apply new skills in authentic reading and writing contexts using materials connected to grade level curriculum.
Our summer program will run from the week of June 7, 2021 through the week of July 12, 2021. Tutors will meet with students twice weekly (M/W or T/TH) for a total of 12 sessions. This summer we can accommodate virtual tutoring or tutoring in the Borg Center (requires a face covering be worn at all times in the building).
For virtual tutoring, participants must have internet access. We use Zoom as our virtual learning space.
The cost to participate in our summer tutoring program is $240.00.
