Educators learn approaches for advocating in response to Illinois EDIA education policies for and with their students, colleagues, and selves.

Educators will engage in self-examination to address personal biases and microaggressions, and will learn about how to use cultural humility, critical inquiry, and critical self-care to engage EDIA in their classrooms and with the school communities.

Invites educators to explore opportunities to ensure that they stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and trends.

Constructive Criticism
Addresses productive ways to receive feedback from instructors and to offer feedback to their students. Includes information about how the nervous system responds to feedback and offers strategies for managing strong emotions that arise with academic feedback.

Organization
Supports educators in developing an organizational approach for lesson plans and materials; encourages and promotes flexibility as an organizational mindset to planning; explores the importance and reasons for punctuality and attendance, and prepares educators with the tools to meet deadlines and obligations, and to engage effective communication.
