Chicago Public School students progress from being a high school graduate to CPS licensed teachers. Students can choose to come to ISU directly after high school or can choose a 2+2 path that allows them to attend City Colleges of Chicago for the first two years and then complete our easy ISU transfer process. Students must graduate from the CPS family of schools with a minimum 2.5 GPA

2+2 Program Pathway
Year 1 & Year 2: Complete all coursework at City Colleges of Chicago as outlined in your program’s transfer guide
- Participate in the SEEDS program at City Colleges of Chicago which includes academic, social, and scholarship support
- Meet with ISU representative, Yadira Ramirez (ycramir@ilstu.edu) to discuss and plan your transfer timeline
Year 3 Transfer to ISU’s home campus in Normal, IL and take coursework in your major.
Year 4: Be placed in a Chicago Public School for your year-long student teaching assignment.

Students that successfully complete the full Teach Chicago Tomorrow program can apply to the CPS early offer program and walk into a guaranteed job at Chicago Public Schools.
