Required graduate level courses include the following:
SED 447 - Administering Educational Programs for Students with Disabilities (3 hours)
SED 502 - Legal and Policy Issues Affecting Special Education Program Administration (3 hours)
SED 513 - Seminar in Evaluation of Special Education Programs (3 hours)
SED 517 - Special Education Finance and Directorship (3 hours)
SED 579 - Advanced Technological Applications in Special Education (3 hours)
SED 598.03 - Professional Practice in Special Education Administration (4-6 hours)
Depending on course work completed at the Master’s level, the student may need to complete the following courses, or their equivalent, to meet the Illinois State Board of Education professional license endorsement requirements: SED 422 Teaching Diverse Learners and/or EAF 434 Supervision for Learning Environments.
