Research Interests & Areas
Aaron A. Baker is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Foundations at Illinois State University. His research interests focus on moral and racial identity development in teacher preparation; particularly how preservice teachers learn to confront and disrupt whiteness in educational contexts. Aaron also examines culturally responsive teaching and the cultivation of moral courage through neo-abolitionist pedagogies, alongside broader faculty engagement with diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
