SAGA is a Registered Student Organization (RSO) for all students enrolled in the CSPA program at Illinois State University. The organization provides its members with professional development and social opportunities, helps foster a sense of community among its members, and assists in their preparation for working in the field of student affairs.
Previous activities have included an orientation program for first-year students, a welcome potluck, hiking at Starved Rock, Cosmic Bowling, a Thanksgiving Potluck, and numerous luncheons.
SAGA is also planning a number of professional development activities. One of the programs, Student Affairs 101, is a day-long drive in conference that invites undergraduates from throughout Illinois to gain an understanding of the student affairs profession and the process for applying to graduate schools. We are also providing resume workshops and an opportunity for members to have a professional headshot taken.
