Teach Chicago Tomorrow
Program Description
- Students participate in education pathway activities in Chicago Public Schools, complete Associate’s degree and pre-requisite coursework at City Colleges of Chicago.
- Students will earn a bachelor’s degree and Professional Educator License with one of the following endorsements:
- Special Education Learning and Behavior Specialist K-21; Elementary Education (grades 1-6) with English as a Second Language endorsement; Bilingual-Bicultural Elementary Education (grades 1-6)
- ISU coursework will be hybrid including face to face courses held in Chicago
- Students complete year-long student teaching model in Chicago Public Schools
- Students will have supports and mentoring through ISU’s National Center for Urban Education, including extensive summer bridge programming
- A first cohort of CPS graduates is being recruited from the class of 2021
